I have several word press frustrations happening. The forum support takes forever to get help. For two days I have been trying to resolve what should be an easy issue to address by making posts in the Wordpress help forums. My most recent forum post this morning gave the exact location of where I accidentally backspaced 2x and messed up the code. Someone responded with an entirely different theme editor showing me code that had no relation to the code I had posted which had the error in it. Grr
What a waist of time.
Two valuable lessons
1) Back-up your Wordpress code before you alter it.
2) Be aware that
people in help forums have a habit of skimming over posts without actually accurately reading the details you have posted. Make changes to your code with caution.
It just seems to be human nature to point the finger at someone else for my own mistakes. I will be glad when the problem situation has been solved.
