Totally agree Ulrich and others. I used to be a big PC gamer back in the 80's and 90's and loved games like Might and Magic, King's Quest and other role playing games for the PC. These games really did have substance and you have to really use your head to figure things out. I remember Space Quest was huge but never knew what that game was about.

I also used to play Leisure Suit Larry. LOL Now of course there's no substance there but that was a big deal back in the 80's. It's kinda funny because that game really pushed the envelope in the 80's but compared to what goes on now with these games, Larry would probably be considered PG. Even still, I loved games like that where you had to find things and figure out how to use them in the game. Of course the games today still use that principle but it's it seems all violence based.

I am not a big fan of the shoot-em-up (or "guy games" as I call them... LOL) and agree they all seem the same. When I do play any of the more recent console games I only play sports games 'cause I love the animation and how real it seems.
