Hitman was a bit more innovative, but lately there are a couple of games as such.
Take some of the older games for example however. They were purely good strategic games or at least "Quest" games. You didn't need to kill anyone, you simply got stuck with a certain mission and struggled for days to get past a certain part of the game. You had to think.
Nowadays the only games that don't involve killing are sport games and racing games. There just aint no more quest games apart from the little online games such as Puzzle Pirates (which I regard as a good little game btw).
I remember I used to remember some basic dos commands like cd cd\ cls and so forth just so I could run my games like Keen which I was very fond of back then as a toddler. Space Quest was amazing, I liked the idea that you could type in what your character should do and in any strange circumstance where he would refuse to do it the character would always make a funny remark.
