Your site is nice and clean, a good heading and some links on the left to follow. It sounds like your target audience is people visiting Victoria, British Columbia or who are relatively new to it.

I like your layout. On your home page, I would suggest on your home page that you get right into the nitty gritty of what is unique in Victoria with targeted bullet points, maybe with a picture next to each one, kind of like a 'highlight list', for example:

* Victoria has these famous restaurants, a, b, and c, which offer the finest shrimp the world has ever seen.

* Victoria has the wonderful festival of lights, check it out because of a, b, and c.

* There are these wonderful places to visit, a, b, c

* These beds and breakfasts are very personable and great to stay at (list them here)

* and more

Then have specific topic pages on these restaurants, sites to see, etc... and say why they are so great with good pictures.

I would spoon feed your audience as much as possible, even including addresses and a link to google maps where available, which requires some technical knowledge, but not too much.

Anyways, I do like your site and you have a good knowledge of your topic so I have no doubt that you will do well and capture a growing interest.
