I'm afraid I'm not an expert at this, just an SBI user - however, I think I'm doing what you want to, Bob. My SBI website is about teaching English as a second language, and has grammar exercises etc that can be used from anywhere, but I also put the website in local adverts on and offline (and will soon have a 'tuition' page, so people searching for English lessons in my area will hopefully find me) to get private students in my city. I think the two can easily be combined with an SBI site, and I get a lot more local students now I have the website, as peole can get more information about me before they book lessons.
