One suggestion I have for you is to get 2 monitors for your computer. This does require that you have a computer with a video card that supports two monitors. And it costs money for the extra monitor as well. Once you have that, create the html, css, and programming on your main monitor in your editor of choice. For me, my second monitor is to the right of my main one and I have my website browser open there where I preview my site.

The transition is very quick and easy between monitors. I make changes to my html and css on the left monitor. Bam, I just click over to monitor 2 and refresh (F5). This makes for some pretty quick testing, learning, and development. Not sure if it's for everyone, but for me, it is absolutely helpful.
