Absolutely. The nice thing about Yahoo Answers is that you can do an advanced search for questions in a certain category. So if your site is about golf, you can search for golf related questions, post a helpful answer and then people may view your profile and possibly visit your site.
I know someone who sold a Site Build It! subscription just by using Yahoo Answers. They simply answered a question about starting a home based business and the person who posted the question viewed her profile and bought from her link.

Making money on the web is all about building credibility through useful content. Whether you do it on your own site, forums, Yahoo answers... if you learn how to be THE source in your niche then you're on your way.
